Huang Quanyi is a Research Professor and doctoral supervisor of School of Safety Science, Tsinghua University. He is a member of the Expert Committee of the National Disaster Reduction Commission, also the Vice Chairman of the Marine Safety Committee of the Society for Public Safety Science and Technology, and the Secretary General of the Geographic Information Emergency Security Working Committee of the China Association of Geographic Information Industry, and the Vice Leader of the Expert Group of the Urban Transportation and Management Services Platform of the Ministry of Urban-Rural Development. He is engaged in research on urban safety and emergency response, disaster monitoring and risk assessment, marine environmental safety, and production safety. He has published more than 200 academic papers and 6 academic monographs; he has presided over and completed more than 60 projects at national or provincial levels. He has won the first prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress, the first prize of China Standard Innovation Contribution Award, and the second prize of National Excellent Teaching Achievements.
